"Ninja" Rua and Lawler fight for EliteXC on Sept. 15th

Email Article Print ArticleRobbie Lawler, the ICON middleweight champ, and “Ninja” Rua, the EliteXC middleweight champ, are set to square off on Sept. 15th for EliteXC. The main card will be on Showtime but the undercards will be aired on ProElite.com.
Besides Lawler vs. Rua, the September 15th event will feature these other fighters: Nick Diaz, Jake Shields, Gina Carano, Charuto, and more. The main card will be on Showtime at 10pm PT/ET and the undercards will then be broadcast on ProElite.com immediately after the main event.
Showtime is also featuring “Countdown to Rua vs. Lawler"—profiling EliteXC’s anxiously awaited mega-MMA event “Uprising”, the biggest and most collaborative event in Hawaiian history.
The dramatic and hard-hitting 30-minute documentary will air at various times on the premium network until Sept. 15, when Murilo “Ninja” Rua makes his initial title defense of the EliteXC World Middleweight Championship against “Ruthless” Robbie Lawler.

I’m predicting Lawler wins by KO. I’ve seen “Ninja” fight, and while he’s good, Lawler’s striking power is DEVASTATING and one good blast to the face will end “Ninja’s” reign as champ.
