The latest rumors suggest not only has he agreed to fight in the UFC, but that his contract is the highest paid for any fighter in MMA history.

According to MMA Scoops the latest RUMOR going around is that PRIDE Heavyweight Champion Fedor Emelianenko has reached an agreement with the UFC and is on his way back to Russia to hopefully seal the deal.

It’s being rumored that the UFC has offered Fedor $2 million per fight on a four fight contract, and will also let him compete in Russia as part of his deal.

If this is true then this is HUGE news not only for the UFC, but for fans of MMA in general as we’ll finally get to see who is the undisputed Heavyweight Champion between the undefeated Fedor Emelianenko, and “The Natural” Randy Couture and the long awaited “MMA Superbowl” that’s been talked about for some time. However, since nothing is confirmed take this with a grain of salt for now.

You know it’s interesting because technically Fedor is NOT undefeated since he lost to Tsuyoshi Kohsaka at a 2000 RINGS event. I think it was sort of a fluke loss, but he lost nonetheless. Fedor did however avenge that loss at the 2005 PRIDE Bushido event.

I think people mix up the fact that he’s been undefeated as the PRIDE Champion and the fact that he’s never lost a single fight in his career. Still, the addition of Fedor to the UFC would be HUGE, and we’d finally get to see who really is the best Heavyweight in the World.

Most people would say Fedor, but my money is on Randy. The guy can do ANYTHING.

Man, oh Man. Already they are testing me of my promise to never doubt Randy again…

I think I remember a little qualifier… never doubt Randy again unless he fought Fedor. Yeah Yeah.

Good catch Joe, good stuff all around.

Honestly, I really do think Randy could beat Fedor. Fedor is obviously the younger, much bigger, and stronger opponent, but look at Randy’s track record with those types of fights. Yes, he’s never fought anyone the caliber of Fedor, but like we’ve seen time and time again....NO ONE is unbeatable, and when you’re a Fedor Emelianenko, you have to realize that it’s only a matter of time before someone catches you and gives you your SECOND official loss.

And that somebody could very well be Randy Couture.
