CSAC Suspends 2 More Fighters for Marijuana

Although they are relative no-names, Anthony Bivins and Cesar De La Torre, both Mixed Martial Artists, have been fined and suspended following their most recent fights. According to the California State Athletic Commission, both fighters tested positive for marijuana.

De La Torre fought at Total Fighting Alliance on August 11th in Santa Monica, Calif. and lost by TKO to Justin Schalk. De La Torre has been fined $500 and his suspension runs from the conclusion of his recent fight to November 9, 2007.

Bivins tested positive following his most recent fight for Cage Combat on August 18th in Yuba City, Calif where he defeated Tyson Schoel by triangle choke. Bivins was also fined $500 and his suspension runs from the conclusion of his latest fight to November 16, 20007.

Just because you fight in California, doesn’t mean you have to go native and smoke the green stuff before your fights.
