“I decided to train my stand up harder, 80%, and 20% for takedown defense. The ground game was very important, and that is why I ended up neglecting my muay thai training. And that is why now I am training with the best at stand up fighting.” The fighters he is referring to are Gilbert Yvel and Remy Bonjaski, both world-class strikers.
He also is currently building an Octagon back home in his training facility. “The cage will be a little smaller than the UFC’s as the original dimensions don’t fit in my gym. But it will be an octagon. I need to train in the cage because it is very different from fighting in the ring.”
