IFL was here in Houston in preparation for their Feb. 2nd show and they gave Komikazee an all access pass to the "IFL Experience". We got behind the scenes and up close with the fighters as they did all their media work with the IFL in preparation for the main show.

Sean Salmon Recovered from KO

Sean Salmon, along with Rashad Evans, was the headline for UFC Fight Night 8 January 25th. Despite his success in the first round, The fight didn’t go too well for him and he managed to eat Rashad Evan’s foot in the second round and then fell to the canvas convulsing and unconscious.

Fight Opinion is a huge MMA site that I follow religiously as a fan. They put great content out there and Zach, the owner of fight opinion, is a great aggregator of national news concerning MMA, whereas Komikazee mostly just follows pieces of news that would affect your entertainment experience.

Looks like the UFC wants to get back into video games. Their last one was released in 2004 and was named "UFC: Sudden Impact". The reviews were less than stellar. That looks to change with THQ picking up the UFC brand to add to their popular WWE line of games.

IFL Settles on Houston Fight Card

This one is near and dear to my heart. The IFL is coming to Houston, the first major organization to grace my town and I am pumped. The unfortunate thing is that UFC is coming in April so seems people are brushing off the IFL possibility. It would be a shame with the IFL Champion Silverbacks coming to town.

WSJ Disses "Ultimate Fighting"

The Wall Street Journal compares "Ultimate Fighting" (Their "special" name for MMA) to Saddam Hussein's execution and cockfighting. Needless to say, they have raised my ire. "Know before you speak" is my saying but obviously journalism doesn't work that way anymore.
