The new X-men figures by Toybiz, I mean. I just finished picking up series 2, no Jean though, they had 3 unopened case and she was nowhere to be found. Man, I was so happy to find the other 5 in one swoop, they are such awesome figures. It’s a real shame that Toybiz won’t be continuing the line after 2006, but at least they’re give us one heck of a finish. Series 1 head sculpt on Magneto is flawless, some of the finest sculpting ever. Ninja Wolvie is my fav of the bunch though, you gots to love Wolvie decked out w/ the chains and weapons. Speaking of weapons I love the Tri-Sword he comes with, reminds my of that old Fantasy Flick, “The Sword and The Sorcerer”. I’m also digging the Cat faced Beast, I was really glad to add him to my collection.

Now, Series 2 is all kinds of awesome.

First off, I bought 2 Angels, this is bar-none the best face sculpt TB has produced, with wings that are a superb depiction of his comic wings. I didn’t like the big gun he came with, so I switch it out for a Sword and Bow.

House of M Wolvie, is my runner up to fist place. He also has the best face sculpt I’ve ever seen for Wolverine, IMO. He comes with 2 guns and Glider pack w/ opening wings. I really dug the House of M, story and I’m so happy that TB is releasing a few before it’s all over. Along with HoM, Wolvie look out for Spidey in his line, and the HoM, Box Set coming in later this year.

I’ve wanted a more standard looking Beast for some time now. I really love the Legends version, but wanted one with a more Hank McCoy feel. Well, I got that in spades, b/c this Beast is everything that is McCoy. He has a computer on his chest that flips open. A backpack with weapon harness, and some really cool glass. I also gave my the gun from Angel.

Juggernaut is done very well, I really like the new armor they gave him. He looks more like a modern day Gladiator, ready for any battle. When you remove the Helmet it reveals a menacing Cain with skull cap.

Cyclops, has a great body and head sculpt. But the one thing that puts him a the last on my list is his fixed right arm, no POA. On top of that he has a large gun thing attached it, and a second pistol for his other hand. I mean, what does Cyke need a gun for much less 2.

I was so excited about these new figure, I just had to share.

Is anyone else as jazzed as I am?

Yes! I love the Angel and HoM Wolvie, and I can’t wait to get that Juggernaut! I’ll probably pick up the beast if I see him as well.

As for Phoenix, I just read that it’s going to be in a “refresher” case later this year, much like the second Beast and Magneto came out later in “X-Men wave 1.5”, Phoenix will be in “2.5”.

I love these things too.  I just picked these up last night at a WM in Wichita Falls, TX.  HoM Wolverine is my favorite.  I can’t believe what a grat job they did on him.  For that matter I can’t believe the quality Toy Biz put into this line.  If either of you guys comes accross a Magneto or Beast from Wave 1, grab it for me and I will send you a check.

Thanks J, for the info on Phoenix. I’m going to have to keep my eye for her in upcoming shipments. Her and the variant Beast from series on are the only one I’m missing.

Man Curve, I wish I’d known about you needing Mags and Beast form series 1. I saw a few but didn’t pick ‘em up b/c I thought I’d see more. But guess what, I haven’t. If I do though I will definitely grab for ya. I think I’m going to pick up a few more Wolvie’s myself. I want to give that head to a Legends version, not sure which yet, but I’m think the of the Lee one. 

If y’all spot an extra Phoenix or normal head Beast grab ‘em for. I’d really appreciate it fellas.

If I find them I will text you.  Joel and I talked tonight about texting each other anytime we find stuff that we know the other guy wants.

Collecting by numbers, I love it. It’s like hunting in packs. Except, we use cash instead of spears, and hunt figures instead of live game. Ah heck, y’all what I mean, count me in. I’m going to be out tomorrow so I’ll keep my eyes peeled.

I loved the first wave.......I nabbed a Kitty Beast. But I’ve yet to open him.  A Gambit not to open, an Archangel not to open and a White Storm so I can get rid of the black costume ML one.

From 2 I only plan to get Angel....Maybe beast.

Wave three is what I am pumped for.  Rogue, Ultimate Sabertooth, Avalanche.  Whoooo.

Yeah, I’m really looking forward to that Avalanche and Rogue. I’ve never gotten the boxset Rogue, so this one is pretty high on my want list. Roughneck, you should pick up the series 2 Angel- he’s awesome!

Roughneck, don’t forget to check out the, HOM Wolvie from wave 2. Quite possibly the best Logan face sculpt ever, definitely worth a look.

Oh yeah, I’m totally syked about wave 3. But, AXM Colossus is my biggest want, then again I want ‘em all so bad. I hope they plan to continue this line after 2006, b/c I give it 2 thumbs way up

I just saw the trailer to X3 and i’m freakin pumped! This could top Spidey 2. Heck, this looks like it could be the greatest superheroe film off all time. I predict it will gross over 100,000,000. Easy! But who cares about how much money the movie will make, besides the producer and director, this film will rock! I saw Juggernaut smashing through a wall. Dudes, i’m so stoked. This film is a must see. It will probably the last one. I hear this is Halle Berry’s last one. Mark your calenders and get ready for the movie of the year. The film should be released on 6/6/06. But hey, what do i know.

Hey Ricky, I completely feel ya on X3. Man, I’m so ready to see this one. I think the Beast is going to rock, and I can’t wait for Juggs. I haven’t seen a full preview, b/c they give too much away in those. I like to go to the movies and be like wow, I had no idea that was in here.
