Customize the tiers of membership, or at a certain point (say 100 posts?) let the user choose their own title (fanboy --> Rook/Rabbit/Pleb/Pledge/catamite/n00b, etc.)

Thanks for the input, Matt. We’re working on some forum look-and-feel tweaks but I wanted to respond to your request.
We’ve purposely oversized the fonts to provide a clean, simple look. Knocking the fonts down would make things a bit more cramped than we’d like.
By sig images, do you mean avatars or the images in your signature? We tried to keep the sigs small to keep from adding to the noise you have to scan over to read long threads.
Hmm, letting the user pick their own rank title would take some coding and probably not high on the priority list.
I’ll take the rank titles to the community and see what we can come up with.
I agree in that we should expand our options as far as customizing goes, but for now I think we should work on the look of these discussion forums. Right now I feel that they are bland and sort of hard to read. I’ve submitted designs to the rest of Komikazee and hopefully we’ll be able to come up with something a little more visuaully pleasing.

Noooo to larger signatures! I like them small. I hate going to a message board and seeing a gigantic image signature in every other post. I don’t even mind having text signatures only. Just throwing my 2¢ out there as well.

Ditto, I’m still on dail-up and takes too much time to download. Yes , I’ve heard of DSL, it’s just I live in a tiny Texas town with population 800. So, it ain’t got to us yet
