Mike "Quick" Swick Revealed

Most of the new crowd to UFC know “Mike “Quick” Swick, competitor in TUF1 (The Ultimate Fighter). Most acknowledge his quick hands, hard punches, and tough demeanor. But I bet there are some things that you don’t know about him.

Did you know that Quick Swick was born in Houston, TX (Best city in the world IMHO )?

Who knew that he once had Top Secret government clearance along with his mother?

Who knew that he speaks basic Russian?

Who knew that Quick Swick had a bum heart (He had AF - Atrial Fibrilation)? That he was given a choice of a sure thing (medication but no UFC) or Heart Surgery (very risky with possible death or pacemaker but would be able to fight if successful)? Which would you choose?

All of these are VERY interesting profile facts about the personality that is Mike Swick and UFC recently released a must read interview about the young man in advance of his next fight Oct. 23 against David Loiseau.

Most interviews with fighters I find very boring. How much do you train? How long have you been fighting? What’s your favorite style? If you could fight anybody, who would it be? etc etc etc. This one was very entertaining and worth the read if you are at all interested in the make-up of a fighter.
