UFC has their “All Access” program that takes you behind the scenes and into the training regimens with their fighters. I like the show but I definitely wouldn’t call it impartial in any way. The spin control is quite evident in their programming because they are using it as a platform to hype their upcoming fight.
You usually have to go to third party sources to find a good view into how a fighter prepares for a UFC match if you don’t want spin control involved. That is where the article in the Albuquerque tribune on Diego Sanchez comes in. In fact, it’s one of the most comprehensive article I have ever read when it comes to fighter preparations. Everything is covered from training, pre-fight prep, post-fight emotions, and even a lot of quirky things that Diego does in between. Definitely a worthy read.
