Jens Pulver was scheduled to fight in his new weight class (145 lb.) in the WEC on Sept. 5th. He no longer is expected to make this date due to a knee injury sustained while training.
“I had staph, so I didn’t get to roll or do anything real physical. Then I started rolling and got my foot caught underneath [my training partner] while doing a guard pass. My leg bent out at the knee and I could feel it pop.”
Jens was understandably disheartened by the freak accident. “All my life, all through college and wrestling and everything, I never had a serious knee injury,” commented a very glum Jens Pulver.
He was scheduled to take on Cub Swanson Sept. 5th for the World Extreme Cagefighting organization (WEC).
