"The Axe Murderer” rejects the long rumored dream match with Chuck “The Iceman” Liddell.
Over at UFC.com there’s a brief article up about the rumored dream match between former UFC Light Heavyweight champ Chuck Liddell, and his PRIDE counterpart Wanderlei Silva. According to UFC President Dana White, the match, which was rumored to have taken place at UFC 76 in Anaheim, Ca has now been scrapped due to “The Axer Murderer” simply not wanting the fight.
“I really wasn’t holding my breath,” Liddell told UFC.com of the latest implosion of a match against Silva. “I was hoping it happened, but if the guy wanted to fight me, he’d fight me.”
