Frank Shamrock vs. Phil Baroni

For those of you that are caught up in the UFC events this month, there are other worthy MMA shows running. Strikeforce has a great card planned with the likes of Cung Le, Tony Fryklund, Carter Williams, Paul Buentello, and of course the main event, Phil Baroni vs. Frank Shamrock. To kick off the marketing blitz, they had a teleconference with the two headliners and there were verbal fireworks thrown.

Here are some of the quips that came out during the conversation.

"Phil doesn't get this, but I'm an artist," said Shamrock. "I study the art of fighting." "Frank's an artist?" Baroni grunted. "After I knock you out, I'll buy you a box of crayons and you can be an artist."

This next quote seems a little Liddell / Rampage-esque.

Shamrock states, "Phil is a stepping stone. I know he doesn't have the cardio and strength to last." Baroni was nice enough to reply, "I think he's gonna f___ing trip on this stone. If he thinks I'm going to fade, he's out of his mind. He ain't gonna weather it. I'm gonna be there for five rounds. He's got me training my ass off. I'm in phenomenal shape, bigger and stronger than ever before. I'm focused."

Phil is quite classy. He even urinated near the phone and flushed the toilet in reply to a question. To show off his high class, he had the following to say about his opponent.

"I don't know what homework that a__hole's been doing. I'll knock Frank Shamrock the f__k out and put him back on the seminar circuit where he belongs."

If you put Phil and Dana in a room together, they would probably compete to see who could drop the most eff-bombs.
