Where will Fedor end up?

Will the PRIDE Heavyweight Champ remain with the organization under an exclusive deal, or will he head somewhere else?

MMAFighting.com has a brief article up about PRIDE Heavyweight Champion Fedor Emelianenko and his future in MMA.

UFC President Dana White reiterated on Tuesday during the UFC 70 conference call that Emelianenko has a contract with PRIDE. White did specify that Emelianenko’s current contract is non-exclusive, which should mean that Emelianenko is allowed to fight elsewhere.

White has made it perfectly clear that the Fertitta owned PRIDE would not deal with non-exclusive fighters, and he would go so far as to seek an injunction on Fedor to keep him from fighting elsewhere.

Apparently, the two front runners for Fedor’s services are BoDogFight and PRIDE, however at this point in time it is still if he is willing to sign an exclusive deal with either organization.

Emelianeko’s future should become more clear once the Fertitta’s officially take control of PRIDE which happens on May 1st.
