There are plenty of great new interviews out there of MMA Fighters. Phil Baroni, Renzo Gracie, and Bas Rutten all share their words with us.
Phil Baroni gives a video interview at ProElite.com to promo his bout with Frank Shamrock in EliteXC on June 22nd. Dana has even promised to double his purse if he knocks out Frank Shamrock.
Renzo Gracie gives an interview at UGO about his experiences in the IFL and who trains with him at his school. Renzo Gracie fights and is the coach of the IFL New York Pitbulls. He recently beat Frank Shamrock in EliteXC and is looking to continue fighting.
Bas Rutten also weighs in with an interview on the same site and is an absolute “must read” if you are a Bas fan. Currently Bas is the Color commentator for the IFL and also the Host for IFL Battlegrounds. He was the Anaconda’s coach before he gave it up to Shawn Tompkins. The guy has personality oozing from every pore and always comes with his “A” game to any interview he does.
Stephen Patry is the rep for Georges St. Pierre. He did an interview for a French Canadian site where he talked a little about what went on for GSP before the Serra fight. He basically said that GSP only had 3 weeks of hard training before his title defense and that he went to Europe right before he started his training. Interesting stuff if you don’t mind the broken English (it’s not that bad but still).
Victor Valimaki is a fighter that will be on the UFC 70 card and will be fighting Alessio Sakara. He has won 6 of his last 7 fights but he is still a relatively unknown fighter. He opens up on the UFC homepage.
Carlos Newton is a world class grappler and all-around good guy. Currently he trains the Toronto Dragons which are in a tie for the fourth IFL playoff spot. He took time out of his busy schedule to interview with MMA Weekly.
